It was a weekend of high drama and high stakes as Round 4 of the Monochrome GT4 Australia Championship roared into a rain-soaked Sandown Raceway in Melbourne.
Known for its notoriously unpredictable winter weather, the track delivered on all fronts – gusty winds, torrential rain and a track that tested even the most seasoned drivers.
But cutting through the chaos with clinical precision were Miedecke Motorsport drivers George Miedecke and Rylan Gray, who powered their Ford Mustang GT4 to a commanding victory in Race 1 – crossing the line a remarkable 10 seconds ahead of the field.

Continuing adverse weather and a demanding track set the stage for a dramatic Race 2, where tyre strategy proved decisive.
In a standout performance, Gomersall Motorsport driver Jake Camilleri surged into the lead with just eight minutes remaining, ultimately crossing the line over 25 seconds ahead of the field. It marked a commanding debut solo outing for Camilleri in the Ford Mustang GT4 and secured a second win of the weekend for Ford.
The success didn’t stop there – Miedecke Motorsport clinched third place, rounding off a powerful double-podium finish and capping a triumphant weekend for the brand.
With that standout performance, Miedecke Motorsport’s Mustang now takes an 11-point lead in the championship standings, setting the stage for a thrilling remainder of the season.
Silver-Am Glory for DA Campbell Transport Duo, Crick and Campbell
DA Campbell Transport’s dynamic duo, Cameron Crick and Dean Campbell, delivered a stellar drive to clinch a hard-fought victory in the Silver-Am Cup, edging out the competition by just two seconds in their Ford Mustang GT4. Their performance marked a well-deserved class win and capped off a weekend of strong form.
Meanwhile, Gomersall Motorsport’s Aaron Seton and Jason Gomersall brought home a solid third-place finish in their Ford Mustang GT4, securing a valuable podium result in a fiercely competitive field.
